The Liberal Religion Community in Hawaii is quite diverse. We have UU's, Buddhists, liberal christians, jews, humanists, vegetarians, atheists, agnostics and more. We are an open and diverse community which seeks to create and nurture a supportive environment that empowers individuals to explore spiritual growth, experience intellectual stimulation and seek justice for all people through principled action. Another item of interest from the 2006 October Congregational meeting was a new Manual of Operations.

The November 5th Congregational Meeting included a vote to approve revised Bylaws. The bylaw changes passed comfortably. At the same meeting a motion to change the name of the church to the Unitarian Universalist Church of Honolulu. This motion failed.

UU Summer Sundays 882 Reads Recreation
This summer there's more fun than a UU can shake a stick at.


Note: P.S. For next Sunday's meeting (June 18th, which is also Father's Day),
Nancy Schildt will lead yoga stretches, and we will also have a special
Father's Day potluck supper. Please bring a mat or towel if you plan on
doing yoga. I will coordinate potluck assignments for Father's Day next
week.

Summer Knights 830 Reads Religious Education
So, you're watching TV and minding your own business when all of a sudden a commerical comes on referencing the King Arthur legend. Is it an ad for flour? No, it's a recruitment ad for the US Marines. Summer 2005, the youth group will be looking at the Hero Myth, King Arthur, and the satiracle look at the lengend by none other than the comedy troupe, Monty Python.
